It's been a while since...
Christmas Eve. Derek's birthday. It's so fun to tease him that the world just decided to skip Christmas Eve and just head right on to Christmas Day... You don't need to have birthday day, do you Shrek?
Autumn's coming unglued. She's been waiting for tomorrow for a whole month already. You know the tradition of opening one gift on Christmas Eve? She keeps on thinking that should happen in the morning and can't believe that we would make her wait all day until the evening.
Tonight we go and sing Christmas carols. We were invited to go see The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, but Autumn is pretty sure that it will be too scary for her and wants Ken and I to see it first. You have got to respect a kid that says no time after time to a movie that she really wants to see.
The weather certainly has warmed up over the last few days so it looks like my parents will be driving down tonight after my mom gets off work. I have a few anxieties about them coming, but overall, I'm happy that they are going to be here - especially for Autumn's sake... and for their sake as well. Both me and my brother are going to be here and my little brother won't be coming until after Christmas. If they would have stayed in Kamloops, they would have been all by themselves... so sad. Speaking of family - I have to invite my brother and sister-in-law to Christmas morning breakfast. That would be really bad if I forgot - really really bad.
I love Christmas!!! Especially avec child.
Merry, merry Christmas, Everybody!!!
