Snow

Snow fell for the first time. Today it feels like Christmas is coming. Today it feels like the first day of winter. The kids were ecstatic this morning announcing the arrival of the snow; they couldn't wait to get out the door this morning to go to school. More than once Cole told Keturah that her face would be white before they got there. I wonder if he followed through on his threat. Autumn is outside right now, enjoying the snow and building a snowman. Presently, she is lying on the ground making her first snow angel of the season. All done... now back to the snowman! I've promised her a carrot for it's nose... I hope that she gets that far before her little fingers freeze in the flimsy gloves I lent her. She's such a typical kid: she lost her gloves before it ever even snowed! I don't think that my cat fancies the snow quite as much. She went out for the first time today at five o'clock and even then it was very tenatively.

I need to put up some Christmas decorations. I'm hosting the coffee shop's staff Christmas party here this coming Sunday and nothing but the brain-storming has been done. (That reminds me, I need to phone my co-worker to see if she can go shopping with me tomorrow morning... which reminds me, I have to do home reading with Autumn's class tomorrow morning. Argh!) Hopefully, I'll get to my decorating either tonight or tomorrow. I have so many Christmasy things that I want to bake this year: butter tarts, cornflake cookies, cuban lunch etc. What's your favorite thing to make for Christmas? Give me some recipes.

Autumn has just come in... we did not make it to the carrot stage. She just announced that she doesn't so much like the snow anymore and that she needs some hot chocolate to warm her up. Her hands got too cold and she only got as far as to make a Lump of Snow. She has now brain-stormed and decided that it could be a dress for The Snow Queen. Hopefully the snow lasts until she can finish it off (and I buy her replacement gloves), it probably won't. She trying to kick me off the computer now so that she can play Sims 2 or go to her websites.

Bye.

"I'm going out to play!

See the snow...

Love the snow.

Blah-de-blee

Does anyone else think that it was hilarious that I said "heroine addict" as opposed to "heroin addict"? I think that's pretty hilarious... especially since my husband and not I, pointed it out to me!

I thought that I was in the mood to blog, but apparently I'm not.

Wednesdays are my day off...

I thought that it was sunny this morning and now, a few hours later, it's raining. I was going to plant my bulbs. I don't have that many days off now to do it... and Saturday's don't seem to work out for that stuff. I would like it to be sunny, but I guess that I'd better getting hard-core and expect to plant them in the rain!

So I've been considering becoming a heroine addict. I've heard that it's great for song-writing.
