It's Friday... And the CD Launch

SSE played at the coffee shop last night. It was more like She Says Acoustic, but overall, it was a good experience. I even sold a cd to a lady who was walking by and decided to come in and check us out! It was well worth the trip.

The maple tree in my front yard is on fire. The leaves are brilliantly orange, standing out in drastic, beautiful contrast to the gloomy grey sky.

The Tension Builds...

Well... Not really!

The CDs are not here yet - that's all.

Still excited; still looking forward to their arrival.

My friend Miriam put forward a beautiful gesture of friendship today. She's the mom of one of Autumn's school friends. I met her last year and did that elections job with her. Anyway... She phoned me up today just to tell me that if I ever need her to pick up Autumn from school because I'm going to be late or whatever, she'd do it no problem. More than the offer, it was the tone of her voice that said, "I'll be there for you if you need me."
Very, very cool.

This is Good and this is God

How is everyone? I feel like I haven't connected with any of you, with the exception of Jewel - I saw her last weekend and Laura, I saw her this weekend.
I don't know if you noticed, I've been changing the title of my blog lately. I usually choose lines from songs that are going through my head, keep it for awhile then change it when it doesn't feel applicable anymore. "Your love is teaching me how to kneel" is still applicable.
I led worship yesterday. It was unlike any other time. The song list was ousted from the get-go. I had to feel and listen my way through every step of the way -between songs and even in the middle of songs. It was not effortless; it was not a battle. It was a careful tip-toeing toward a whisper. It was good and it was hard.
In the prayer room I was challenged, "What if it's not what you think it is?" (What is "it?") And the last thing that I was told before I started was, "What if you don't get it?" (Again, what is "it?" And what do you mean "don't get it"? Do you mean that I may not 'get it' in my head or do you mean I may not receive it?) That was the beginning of my cryptic day.
Yesterday was a serious growth day for me. God had me marked. I've never had this experience before. It was like Valentine's Day for me and only me. He very intentionally spoke to me throughout the day through various people... morning until night. Amazing.
I don't think that I have it all sorted out in my mind yet. In fact, I think that I'm a bit overloaded and can't quite process properly. It was all a bit cryptic. A very spiritual day... I love those kinds of days where the conversation revolves around God... When your spiritual being comes to the forefront and gets to take control for the day. When involving God and talking to Him with your friends feels so natural and right. A day that I'd love to live over again. The cool thing is that I don't have to - I can have new spiritual experiences, growing days, challenging my concepts of spirituality. I can have more days where I am a spiritual being living out natural day to day life.
Most likely, that made no sense to anyone. I was going to say that I feel a bit 'off', but it's really more like I feel 'on.' I have lots of jumbled up feelings inside. I think that I'm going through a spiritual growth spurt and it feels a little awkward and clumsy. I need time to get used to this new length of legs and arms. I'm a gangly youth, crashing into the corners because I don't realize I'm bigger now.
I know, I know... still more cryptic analogies. I've never been here before. But it's my blog, darn it, and I'll write what I please!!

Cooper

I love the expression on his face here. I want to eat him up - he looks so yummy! (I'm feeling baby-mania right now. Ah!) Posted by Hello

More Cooper

I think that in this photo Cooper looks like Autumn did. It's the round features. Posted by Hello

Back from the 'Loops

We had a good weekend in the 'Loops.

I finally got to see Cooper. He's so cute. I'm sure that I hogged him all evening. I even coined the phrase "Cooper Arm" after holding him too long. My arm was stiff and sore for at least an hour after I finally relinquished him to his crib. Typical girl that I am, seeing and holding him made me want to have a baby. Reality hit when we were leaving their house at 11pm dead-tired and he was lying in his crib crying his little lungs out. Mmmmm... babies...
