I'm sitting here trapped between the computer and a whole bunch of the band's gear. I barely wedged myself into the seat. There is a reason for all of this. Another domestic crisis! It seems like our house has been the war zone for household crisis as of late.

Today it's the rain. Which equals flooding. It seems as though our house is in the middle of a river. All of the water from the whole street is flowing through our yard. We've spent approximately four hours digging trenches and building dams to protect our castle (which momentarily has a moat).

So yeah... it does rain here. But this stuff never happened last year. Must be global warming.

Hey Gals,

Autumn got her first report card today. A Proud Parent Moment for sure. She fully met all the expectations and in art she exceeded their expectations. That's my little artist!
The only negative comment on her report card is that she is too hard on her own work. HA HA! She is soooo Ken's daughter!!

Clarkie - you'd have laughed at me in the Cardio Kickboxing class I took today. I look like such an uncoordinated baboon! But I sure worked up a sweat and for that you should be proud!

Everyone who wants a Christmas card for me should leave me thier address because the cards will be in the mail soon!!

This has been quite a domestic adventure week. The kids all got lice, so I nit-picked Autumn's hair for four hours the first day and an hour and a half yesterday. Geee, that's fun stuff.

And today is my first day babysitting a friend's little boy. I haven't watched other people's kids in forever - the Usher kids don't really count because they live here and that makes it different.

just a sec - got to go balance the washer...

Well, "That's all folks!"

I can't believe I forgot to mention that I bought the new U2 DVD - Go Home - live from Slaine Castle. It's really good. I recommend it to anyone who likes U2 or should I say Loves U2 (like me!). Bono does a lot of spontaneous stuff like, "Hear us calling Lord, ... Hear us knocking at Your door..." Got love it!!

I'm making more of an effort to write on here... Just so you know. I think that the main reason that I don't write very often is that my life seems so mundane. It's not that I don't like my life - I really like my life in fact - it's just so normal. To me.

The show at The Roxy went well. Other than being an hour and a half late and missing our sound check all together. Which resulted in feedback. Which is pretty normal for me anyway.

Autumn went to her friend's house today so I didn't have to pick her up at school. I keep wondering if they remembered to take her home. I even checked the answering machine from the gym just to make sure that she wasn't stranded at school and wondering why I abandoned her. So far, no message.

My parents are coming into town... or should I say city. And that makes me nervous. I love seeing them, but it's the whole -my-house-is-probably-not-clean-enough-for-them scenario that's hard on me. Oh well, such is life.

I'm playin' the Roxy tonight.
I'm stiff from working out.
My hubby is working a lot.
I went to a seminar to learn how to deal with conflict.
I guess this proves that I am not dead! LOL

As you all can see, I don't update very often. Nor do I end up on the computer very often. (Must be watching too much TV - there are so many good shows on!! Can you say "addiction?") And of course on Sunday evening I sat down to write and just as I was almost done, the power went out. Not just in our house either, it was out all the way to Langley. It was great, Ken and I couldn't resist, we went out for a walk to see if we could see a major accident or something. Nothing. Well there were a lot of emergency vehicles - all going in different directions. Never did find out what caused the outage.

The blog that I was writing on Sunday was all about how much favour we are experiencing right now. (Maybe that's why the power went out? hee hee) We led worship Sunday morning. I don't know about everyone else who was there but it was pretty powerful. We haven't felt like that since the 'good old days' - without the crap of course! (I couldn't resist.) However, our church is going through it's own crap. It just doesn't affect us this time around.

One of the coolest things that happened was that the owners of Ethical Addictions (the coffee house that we occasionally play at) gave us "appreciation dollars". I thought that they'd give us four bucks each. Wrong. They gave us forty dollars each. I was pretty blown away.

Other people (strangers only months ago) have volunteered to help the band manning the merchandise table and hauling gear. The support that we are receiving here is absolutely amazing. (THANK YOU GOD!)

The Raisin' Bones benefit concert was a success. It raised just under $800! Mostly from people whom have never met them. And it was a great gig to play to top it all off!
