I Stole this Link from The Well Blog...
I have never wanted to go to the Yukon or NWT before this. Now, I must reconsider.

Ten Beautiful Things:
1. The whisper of pink above the mountains as the sun got out of bed this morning.
2. Warm cozy naps on the sofa... simply luxurious.
3. Sapphrira chattering at me when I'm alone with her in the house.
4. The feeling when you get all of the laundry done - folded and put away.
5. Playfulness with best friends.
6. Phone calls in the middle of the day from my honey.
7. A long hot shower when you know that nobody else is home to care.
8. The satifaction that comes when you hit upon the perfect food.
9. The smell of the rain forest - sweet earthy rot... mmmmm.
10. The conclusion of a good book... Though I find that it's somewhat bittersweet.

Insanity
I just read the blog of someone who basically poised the question, "If it was the end of the world and you could only pick one song and one book, which ones would you choose?"
There were 256 comments!
I don't know which song I'd choose, because I'm one of the most indecisive people you've ever known, but the Bible seems relatively obvious. [It has the advantage over any other book in that it's Alive... *cue (for lack of a better word) evil laughter! (Daffy Duck's to be specific.)]
Out of the 200 or so that I read, two people picked the Bible (or at least part of it) but neither of these people were actually serious. Crazy.
Another interesting fact: The person who's blog it is, got fired from a job two years ago for disparaging comments that he made on his blog about his work place, fellow employees and bosses. (Note to self, "Blogs have potential danger" and "The pen, or in this case, the written word, is mightier than the sword." (Who said that btw?))

The Final Frontier
The idea of space is very appealing to me right now. I feel crowded... not by people though. I just need some more space to put stuff. My closets are over-crowded and my bedroom is a catch-all. Argh. I would dearly like to move into a new house... a house with some space. Ah Space, The Final Frontier! "To boldly go where no man has gone before."
Today's work went by at a surprisingly brisk pace. It's hard to believe that I've already worked at the coffee shop for a full year. Time flies... when you've got so much to do that you can't possibly get it done within the allotted hours.
The other thing that marks the passage of time and how very quickly it goes is how old, big, grown up Autumn is. Yesterday evening she had to endure getting a piece of glass out of her foot. When the ordeal was finally over, she came out to the living room very proudly, with a big grin on her face to pronounce the fact. Ahh! So cute!

In Sickness and in More Sickness!
I'm finally feeling well enough to post. I've essential been sick since November 17th! With, perhaps, a few days of not feeling sick. One of those days was Christmas, so that's a bonus. I still have a bit of the sniffles, but that's nothing in comparison with how I have been feeling for the past... what is it now? two weeks? I've had a viral infection related to the Chicken Pox. Go figure! I endured fever and this incredibly bad headache as well as one side of my face became extremely sensitve. When I applied my blush, the brush felt like it was made of wire... ouch! The headache the one night was one of those that makes you want to cry, but you know that if you do, it will only make it more painful...
The best thing that came out of my sickness is that I quit drinking coffee... I was having headaches anyway so what was the difference? Coffee just didn't taste good without the smell. (I should say 'aroma' that sounds better!) So I've been drinking a lot of green tea in the last two weeks! I wonder what I'll do as my sense of smell returns. Ulitmately, I love coffee and I'll try to keep it as a treat, but I think that slowly I'll fall back into my bad coffee habit.
In the midst of this, Ken had strep throat and Autumn got lice. (AGAIN!!! ARGH! From whom, I know not.) So I've been nit-picking her this last week. Wednesday we were at it for TEN hours! That's a lot of TV to be watching, let me tell you!
I hope that I won't get sick for the next ten years now... Shouldn't my immune system be completely revved up?
